Duties: The Associate Director of Actuarial Services within UHC Medicare & Retirement will perform critical research and investigation of key business problems through quantitative analysis of Medicare Advantage data. The Associate Director will proactively identify, communicate, and lead organizational dialogue on opportunities and risks throughout the organization, primarily on topics such as national medical costs, national medical trends, and Utilization Management (UM) affordability programs. As a subject matter expert, the Associate Director will interpret and analyze data from various sources (e.g. claims, authorizations, member data) and recommend best approaches to transform the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be a key player in setting business strategy using data and analytics to improve member outcomes while delivering savings to the healthcare system
Requirements: ASA or FSA designation; 5+ years of experience in data analytics, specifically interpreting and communicating the results to a broad range of customers and business leaders; 3+ years of experience in financial modeling; for example reserving, pricing, forecasting, etc; Extensive and expert knowledge of concepts and methodologies in health care environment; Advanced or higher proficiency with MS Excel formulas, calculations, charts, graphs

Duties: We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to enhance our strategic execution by employing advanced data science methodologies in experimental analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to solve complex business-case based operational challenges and optimize processes
Requirements: 5+ years of data science experience solving operational issues using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning; Proven solid skills in statistical programming and data manipulation (Python, R), and complex database queries (SQL); Proven ability to effectively communicate complex data science concepts to non-technical audiences

Duties: Prepare Medicare Advantage bids submitted to CMS annually; Conduct data analysis and prepare reports for Medicare Advantage submissions; Understand and interpret the key drivers of health care trends; projecting expected revenue and cost; Develop pricing methodologies and assumptions; Conduct and evaluate studies on pricing, utilization and health care costs
Requirements: ASA Credential or greater; 5+ years of Actuarial experience; Experience working with Medicare Advantage; Expertise working with large tables of data, formulas, and calculations in MS Excel
