Duties: Background: Wilson's disease (WD) is a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the ATP7B gene, resulting in copper overload and damage to the liver, as well as various other organs and tissues, including the brain. WD is one of the few genetic diseases that can be adequately treated with pharmacological therapy if diagnosed early. Conversely, if left untreated, the disease invariably follows a fatal course. Adherence to therapy and follow-up plays a crucial role in the success of long-term treatment. However, there are currently no clear recommendations on how to assess and improve adherence in WD. Objective: To develop informational materials to assess and improve adherence to treatment and care in WD. Methods: Informational material regarding the importance of and methods for evaluating adherence will be developed, validated, and then utilized in outpatient visits
