Duties: The research collaborator will work on cerebrospinal fluid and plasma biomarkers of synaptic plasticity and neurodegeneration. The aim of the study is to evaluate the role of synaptic markers at different phases of Alzheimer’s disease and in other neurodegenerative conditions. To this, the research collaborator will implement the biobanking at the Neurology Unit and use different innovative techniques (including ELISA, western blotting and SIMOA) to test new synaptic markers in the population. The research collaborator will also evaluate the correlation between biological markers and clinical as well as imaging markers of brain damage
