Duties: The Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of the College of Agriculture at Tennessee State University is seeking to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine and Extension Veterinarian. This is a tenure-track, 12 month faculty position. This faculty member will be expected to teach various subjects in Veterinary science, conduct research with externally funded grants and publish scholarly papers in relevant, scholarly, peer reviewed journals. This faculty member will also be expected to serve as the TSU Extension veterinarian and be responsible for establishing a state-wide Extension and outreach program to train Extension agents, prepare and provide Extension curricula for Extension agents, and educate livestock producers in Tennessee. Requirements: DVM with certification to practice Veterinary Medicine in USA. DVM with Ph. D is preferred. Experience in teaching, research and/or Extension will be preferred.
