Duties: This position is for postdoctoral research to use genomics/bioinformatics to uncover basic principles of transcriptional control, chromatin, epigenetics, and their relationships. Duties: A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, to work on an NIH-funded grant in the area of HIV infection, drug addiction, and neuroinflammation. The emphasis is on delineating the role of HIV and substance abuse on neuroinflammation and possible therapeutics using in vitro and in vivo mouse models. In addition, the successful candidate will also study the role of extracellular vesicles (exosomes) in various diseases and therapeutics. Several high-throughput “omics” approaches will also be applied. The successful candidate will work with a newly established investigator and will receive significant mentoring in manuscript/grant writing, including training junior trainees
