Duties: The position includes experimental work on the interaction between free radicals (ROS and RNI) produced by activated host cells and the intracellular effect of new antibiotics against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Methods included are measurement of ROS and RNI via -omics methods, flow cytometry including single-cell analysis and experiments in human macrophages and in a lung tissue model. Genetic and epigenetic effects on M. tuberculosis are also a part of the project which includes bioinformatic analysis.
