Maintain and develop the business acceptance/underwriting framework to steer profitable new business production in line with Strategic plan and SCOR risk appetite for L&H business. Ensure business acceptance practices are thorough, up to date and minimize operational risks. The underwriting framework encompasses: General UW guidelines/Regional/local guidelines and development of L&H UW guidance and related processes; Business authority management; Operational underwriting risk limits definition, capacity allocation and monitoring; Coordinate L&H Referral activities in strong collaboration with L&H global pricing team (“One referral team”); Assess and monitor non-standard underwriting risks for large and complex business or for business outside of existing guidelines, including the analysis of credit and financial risks
Requirements:
University degree/Master degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, equivalent other scientific discipline with strong mathematical focus. Preferably membership in actuarial association/qualified as an actuary or equivalency from a recognized organization; 10 years + broad and sound work experience in (re)insurance with a focus on mathematics, finance and/or economics; Excellent knowledge of international life insurance and reinsurance products
