Position: Research and Development Specialist in Cheminformatics

Duties: The Research and Development Specialist will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining new and existing computational mass spectrometry and cheminformatics software and workflows, primarily for target and non-target metabolomics, exposomics and environmental analysis within the Environmental Cheminformatics Group and within the scope of our responsibilities within PARC. The open position is part of the European “Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals” (PARC) project, co-funded by the European Union
Requirements: MSc degree (or equivalent) in bioinformatics, cheminformatics, chemistry, environmental sciences, mathematics, computer science or related fields; Experience in or willingness to learn: R, python, Java, web services, Docker containers and UI design; Git-based subversion control (GitHub, GitLab); Non-target workflows for mass spectrometry data; Major cheminformatics toolkits (e.g. CDK, RDkit, OpenBabel); Ability to design, implement and maintain new and existing code, services, workflows and data analysis for research activities
