Text: Postdoc position - Jachowicz lab Are you interested in transposable elements and want to explore how they regulate early mammalian development? Are you excited about new technologies and are eager apply them to in vitro and in vivo models of preimplantation development ? Look no more স হ ঺ ঻ In Jachowicz lab w e are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our team ! Requirements: • • Interest in gene regulation , transposons , non - coding RNAs , early development • Previous experience in working with mammalian cell culture model systems (including mouse and human embryonic stem cells) and CRISPR technologies • S ignificant laboratory experience in genomic/transcriptomic techniques and general molecular biology techniques • Prior experience or interest in analyzing c omputational data including genomic and/or transc ri ptomics data would be a great advantage • Excellent communication skills, scientific excellence, ability to work as a part of the team and readiness to support more junior team members are all essential requirements Our Scientific interest: We are an international team of highly motivated researchers studying the regulation and function of transposons and repeats — often referred to as the "dark elements" of the mammalian genome. Our goal is to understand how these elements influence gene expre ssion and 3D genome organization during early lineage specification. We use molecular biology and genomics approaches, applying them to embryonic stem cells and mouse embryos. Our group is part of IMBA at the Vienna BioCenter , one of the most vibrant and innovative life science campuses in Europe. Our Institute : The Institute of Molecular Biotechnology ( IMBA ) is a leading European biomedical research institute focused on functional genomics and stem cell technologies. Located at the Vienna BioCenter, Austria’s hub for life sciences, IMBA is part of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. It offers world - class infra - campus childcare. Vienna provides a high quality of life and is frequently ranked the world’s most liveable city. IMBA is an inclusive, equal opportunity employer.
