Position: Research Facilitator
Institution: University of Luxembourg
Location: Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Duties: Provide comprehensive support to the Faculty’s researchers in identifying, applying for, securing, and managing research funding (e.g. EU, FNR), including guidance on funding procedures, budget preparation, contractual negotiations, financial reporting, and intellectual property matters; Contribute to the development and visibility of the Faculty’s research activities, ensuring their dissemination within the academic community and society at large; Actively participate in meetings, information sessions, and relevant events related to research funding and activities; Ensure effective internal communication and collaboration within the Faculty and with the University’s central administration on all research-related matters
Requirements: University degree in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or an equivalent qualification; Minimum of three years’ professional experience in project management, preferably in a research environment, with a proven track record in identifying, securing, and managing research funding; High level of adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to acquire new skills and integrate new concepts, such as emerging funding opportunities or evolving institutional and funder requirements; Service-oriented mindset, committed to delivering high-quality support to the Faculty’s researchers; Team spirit with the ability and willingness to contribute actively to team processes and collaborative efforts; Fluency in English is required. French and/or German will be considered an asset
