The candidate will be working on the project “NeverGiveUp: Fallback adaptable heterogeneous multi-robots for efficient and collaborative lunar prospection.” A project starting on the 1st of June in collaboration with the RSL-ETHZ research team. NeverGiveUp aims to develop a robust and highly autonomous approach to heterogeneous multi-robot exploration, which would enable them to overcome difficulties and failures while accomplishing collaborative lunar prospection missions. This framework includes approaches to identify and predict potential failures, react before the damage occurs, and define, share, and execute tasks while considering the local terrain and robot states. We plan to use both wheeled robots and advanced walking (legged) robots equipped with cutting-edge locomotion control techniques and autonomous modes to navigate obstacles and challenging terrain adeptly
Requirements:
The candidate should possess an MSc and bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence or Robotics Engineering with a GPA of 3.2+. We expect a candidate who is passionate about Machine learning and robotics and who is looking forward to further developing his or her skills in robotics in challenging terrestrial and space environments
