We expect you to have a Ph.D. in data science or computational neuroscience or a related discipline, strong quantitative skills, and an enthusiastic approach to science. Further, the applicant is expected to have strong background knowledge of the physiology of primary sensory afferents and neural networks. The applicant must also have proficiency in data science methods used for single cell transcriptomic analysis and computational approaches to quantitative analysis of neuronal activity recorded using genetically encoded calcium indicators (GECI). In addition, the applicant must have experience in developing automated behavioral analysis procedures. It is a particular merit if the applicant also has experience in quantitative analysis of physiological data. The applicant is expected to be fluent in both written and spoken English. Great emphasis will be given to personal qualities and suitability. The workplace You will be employed in Marcin Szczot’s research group at the Center for Social and Affective Neuroscience (CSAN) , Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences. The Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences is one of the university’s largest departments, with operations mainly in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Our aim is to engage in medical and biomedical education and research of high international standing. At undergraduate level the department is responsible for most of the medical program, the speech and language pathology program and the biomedical program.
