Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in Biostatistics - Statistical Machine Learning and Deep Generative Modelling Big Data Institute, Li Ka Shing Centre for Health Information and Discovery Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LF Additional location: Department of Statistics, 24-29 St Giles’, Oxford, OX1 3LB We are looking to appoint a Senior Researcher in Biostatistics in Statistical Machine Learning and Deep Generative Modelling to join the Oxford-Novartis Collaboration in AI Medicine team at Nuffield Department of Medicine. Under the line management of Dr. Habib Ganjgahi and close collaboration with Professors Chris Holmes and Thomas Nichols, you will exploit recent advances in deep probabilistic generative modelling including conditional denoising diffusion models, flow matching to synthesise advanced, high-resolution brain MRI scans from conventional low-resolution scans of different contrast. In addition, you develop state of the art predictive modelling based on deep generative models to predict patient outcomes under different exposures. It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil in Statistics, Statistical Machine Learning, deep generative modelling, or similar subject with post-qualification research experience and the ability to develop research projects. You will have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and the experience developing conditional diffusion model, flow matching or similar topics.
