Proposed Rank/Hiring Title Assistant Professor, Mathematics Department Mathematics Proposed Hiring Contract Type Tenure Track Non-Tenure Track End Date Appointment Percent 100% Months per Year 9 months Job Summary The Department of Mathematics at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA invites applications for a tenure-track full-time faculty position as Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2025. We seek candidates who can teach a broad range of undergraduate courses in mathematics, applied mathematics, and/or statistics. Candidates should also be able to advance their research and, ideally, lead undergraduate research projects. Ideal applicants will have an established record of teaching excellence, scholarship, advising students, and service to their departments and their disciplines. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in statistics, applied mathematics, or other branches of mathematics that would support degrees in statistics, applied math, or data science. Gonzaga’s faculty are collaborative and opportunities exist to work with faculty in other departments and schools, including Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Health Sciences, and Engineering.
