Scope: The Department of Mathematics & Physics in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a non-tenure, renewable-track appointment as an assistant professor in Mathematics. Candidates from any area of Mathematics will be considered. Principal Responsibilities The successful candidate will serve as Assistant Professor of Mathematics within the Department of Mathematics and Physics. Responsibilities include teaching 24 credit hours per year. Typical course assignments will consist of introductory courses, and other courses as assigned. Additional responsibilities include advising undergraduate students and service such as leading program assessment, coordinating calculus placement test, and organizing departmental learning assistants, graders and tutors. Questions concerning the position should be directed to Dr. Anup Lamichhane (a-lamichhane @onu.edu ). Required Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate mathematics courses, and commitment to practicing active learning pedagogies are encouraged to apply.
