Text: Tenure Track Professorship (W1) “Mathematical Statistics“ INSTITUTE OF STOCHASTICS AND APPLICATIONS I AT THE EARLIEST CONVENIENCE The University of Stuttgart is one of the leading technically oriented universities in Germany in one of Europe’s most vibrant high-tech and industrial areas. The professorship is aimed at outstanding young scientists in the early career phase who are internationally recognized in one or more modern areas of mathematical statistics. The professorship should be linked to and complement the Institute of Stochastics and Applications and the Department of Mathematics, and should be open to interdisciplinary cooperation with other faculties, the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech), or other cross-faculty activities such as the various Stuttgart Research Centers. We are searching for an individual who is distinguished by high-ranking scientific publications with international visibility. For a qualitative assessment of your academic accomplishments, we kindly ask you to submit a short description of your three most important scientific achievements, which should be no longer than one page in total. Possible successes may include, for example, those in the fields of research, teaching, science and society, knowledge and technology transfer, inventions and patents, software development or spin-offs. The position is a tenure track position leading to an appointment as a W3 professor in case of a positive evaluation.
