Position: PDRA in Pancreatic Islet Biology in Diabetes

Duties: We are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) to contribute to a funded project investigating the mechanisms of islet autoimmunity and β-cell destruction in type 1 diabetes. This role involves unraveling signaling pathways and regulatory mechanisms underlying the transcriptional machinery in β-cells, with the goal of identifying therapeutic targets to mitigate immune-mediated destruction and preserve β-cell function
Requirements: PhD in molecular/cellular biology or related field; Proficiency in genetic engineering techniques (e.g., Crispr/Cas9) in cell lines and primary cells; Expertise in immunostaining methods (e.g., immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence); Advanced imaging abilities; Familiarity with molecular and biochemical biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, cloning, Western blotting)

Our research aims to target intricate intracellular signaling networks within pancreatic β-cells to enhance their regenerative capabilities, paving the way for novel diabetes treatments. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: We are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) to contribute to a funded project investigating the mechanisms of islet autoimmunity and β-cell destruction in type 1 diabetes.
