Position: Staff Bioinformatics Signal Processing Engineer/Scientist

Location: San Diego, California, United States
Duties: Design, prototype, and implement signal processing and bioinformatics algorithms; Analyze data and optimize software at the algorithm, design, and/or source code level; Collaborate with external teams to ensure a smooth, end-to-end workflow with external organizations; Provide technical leadership and represent the team at project and executive levels
Requirements: Master’s degree or PhD in bioinformatics, biology, engineering, physical sciences, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent, preferred; Experience with signal processing and the application of statistical approaches; Strong problem-solving skills; Experience with C++ is preferred, but other languages will also be considered (Minimum: intermediate level with understanding of object-oriented design); Software development skills
