Assessment criteria A good national and international standing as a researcher. The requirement for international expertise shall be assessed with consideration to the character and traditions of the subject. Good teaching ability, including a good ability to conduct, develop and lead educational activities at different levels and using a variety of teaching methods. Ability to participate in the supervision of doctoral students in studies leading to a doctoral degree. Ability to engage with wider society and communicate his or her activities. Ability to otherwise lead and develop activities, including administrative ability. In the assessment, equal consideration is given to teaching expertise and research expertise. Desirable qualifications in descending order Experience of teaching phonetics courses in a variety of languages offered by the Centre for Languages and Literature. Experience of supervising and examining bachelor's theses in phonetics and/or relevant individual languages with a focus on phonetics or linguistics. Experience of teaching and B.A. essay supervision specifically in English Linguistics and Japanese Linguistics. Documented research experience in phonetics or phonology. Experience in developing courses on phonetics or phonology directed towards language-specific education programs .
