Duties: This postdoc position will be part of an exciting project exploring the principles of biodiversity and sustainability with an emphasis on quantifying large mammal movement, decision-making, and population dynamics. The postdoc selected in this project will develop quantitative models to produce movement, decision, and population estimates from a diversity of data sources including, but not limited to, camera traps, GPS collars, and acoustic sensors. The selected candidate will have experience of coding and running computer simulations of dynamic complex systems. Experience with technological sensor development for empirical data collection would also be valuable
Requirements: The selected candidate will have a PhD, or be close to finishing a PhD, in quantitative ecology, or equivalent. The post is initially offered for 18 months with the possibility of extension. The project will start in June 2024, but a later start date can be arranged
