Position: Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanobioengineering

Duties: Design and execute experiments to investigate the mechanisms underlying metastasis in pediatric patients; Innovatively apply bioengineering techniques to fabricate tissue-engineered models of pediatric cancers and employ organ-on-a-chip technologies; Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and clinicians to integrate findings into clinical practice; Analyze and interpret experimental data, and prepare high-quality manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; Present research findings at national and international conferences to disseminate knowledge and foster collaborations
Requirements: PhD in the field of cancer and bioengineering, demonstrating expertise in both domains; Knowledge of pediatric cancer (specifically on neuroblastoma will be a plus); Experience in biomaterials and organ-on-a-chip fabrication; Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking; Native or High level of English

The research will concentrate on unraveling the drivers of bone metastasis. Main tasks and responsibilities: Design and execute experiments to investigate the mechanisms underlying metastasis in pediatric patients. Innovatively apply bioengineering techniques to fabricate tissue-engineered models of pediatric cancers and employ organ-on-a-chip technologies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and clinicians to integrate findings into clinical practice. Analyze and interpret experimental data, and prepare high-quality manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Present research findings at national and international conferences to disseminate knowledge and foster collaborations. Mentor and supervise graduate students and junior researchers involved in the project. Requirements for candidates: Essential: PhD in the field of cancer and bioengineering, demonstrating expertise in both domains. Knowledge of pediatric cancer (specifically on neuroblastoma will be a plus). Experience in biomaterials and organ-on-a-chip fabrication. Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking. Native or High level of English Advantageous: Experience in Confocal microscopy We Offer: Number of available positions: 1 Starting date: 01/09/2024 Working conditions: Full-time 1-year contract. Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration Very competitive salary.
