A permanent position of Associate Professor of Philosophy is available at the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas, University of Oslo. The holder of position will be responsible for chairing the department’s two interdisciplinary bachelor studies: the Humanities strand of the Honours Program and the program Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) the first years. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and lead research, supervise PhD candidates, participate in teaching and in exam setting and assessment at all levels, and to carry out administrative duties in accordance with the needs of the department
Requirements:
PhD or equivalent academic qualifications within philosophy; A disciplinary profile relevant for the Honours Program and PPE, and ability and willingness to chair the Humanities strand of the Honours Program as well as PPE from the start of the employment period
