Your overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s competences within technology implementation through design with focus on sustainable and industrial design, and product development with focus on the product service life and life cycle. Your expertise in product development will influence the department’s activities at two levels. At department level you will contribute with your expertise in product development in e.g. the field of power engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering. At section level, your expertise will drive our research agenda of sustainable design and sustainable products with perspectives of the product development phases and modelling with design drivers, e.g. user needs, stakeholder management, production processes, interfaces and data management, sustainability, digital potential etc
