Position: Bioinformatics Intern
Institution: Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine
Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States
Duties: Performs analysis of gene expression and proteomic data acquired from clinical tissues, biofluids and experimental models; Contributes to prognostic models and performs decision analysis; Collaborates with surgeons, bioinformaticians, biostatisticians, and laboratory personnel, and will develop a supervised project; Coordinates with mentor in model design and development based from biomarker and clinical data; Writes/contributes to abstracts, publications, and conference presentations; May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; Minimum of 0-2 years experience required; Strong computer skills and hands-on experience in analyzing biomarker based assay data, knowledge-based data analysis modeling software applications, working knowledge of scientific programming (PERL, Phyton, JavaScript, R, or Macro for MS-Excel etc)
