Position: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychological Sciences

Requirements: A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field of Psychology and Undergraduate training in Psychology, such as a Bachelor degree; A good record of research that has achieved international recognition and made worthwhile contributions to the field of psychology demonstrated by a record of quality publications, presentations at conferences and preferably success in securing external competitive and other funding

The School of Psychological Sciences prioritises rigorous, theoretically motivated science aimed at addressing the important applied psychology-related problems in society. Our researchers aim to improve mental health outcomes, educational outcomes, and general quality of life for people in our local community and contributes to solutions for problems of national and international significance. The School of Psychological Sciences offers undergraduate degrees in psychological sciences and counselling, and postgraduate degrees in clinical and professional psychology and counselling. As our new Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will be passionate about your research contributions to the field of psychology as well as sharing your knowledge through teaching. You will teach into the Psychological Sciences Undergraduate and Honours program, and postgraduate where required. You will establish a strong research program capable of attracting competitive external funding and aligned to the strong research culture within the College of Health and Medicine. Depending on your level of expertise you will be able to provide academic leadership and unit coordination including curriculum and assessment development to ensure our students receive the best learning experiences whether that be face to face, blended or online. We have an opportunity for an Academic level B or C depending on relevant experience, and relocation assistance will be considered for the right person. Demonstrated experience in university-level Psychology teaching and learning Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative approaches to teaching and learning, including blended and online educational approaches. Salary details Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B or C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $173,682 comprising base salary within the range of $108,285 to $148,446 plus 17% superannuation.
