Your team The ForMAX beamline is designed for multiscale structural characterization of materials from macroscopic to molecular length scales, by combining small- and wide-angle x-ray scattering (SWAXS), scanning SWAXS imaging, and full-field tomographic imaging. A particular focus is the development of new materials and specialty chemicals from forest raw material, contributing towards our transition to a sustainable, bio-based economy. To be successful in this role you need to have the following qualifications PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or another relevant subject. Documented expertise in full-field tomographic imaging, including data analysis. Demonstrated ability to deliver tasks on time, in scope, and within budget, as an individual and within a team. Good command of written and spoken English Below are seen as merits Demonstrated evidence of method development of full-field tomographic imaging. Expertise in the development of data analysis or image reconstruction tools. Experience in development/commissioning of sample environments. Skills in programming. Previous work experience at a large scale research facility. Published research on materials, or demonstrated experience of working with materials, relevant for ForMAX. As a person you are able to work independently and to take initiative. You should have strong social and communication skills. The ability to work within a team successfully is key in this role.
