Position: Computational Genomics - Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

Duties: Lead the innovation of computational and statistical methods for generating, analyzing, and interpreting genomic data. Design and implement sophisticated bioinformatics algorithms and software tailored to advancing our understanding of genetic diseases; Act as a pivotal liaison between our data sciences research laboratory and our translational research collaborations, providing expertise in bioinformatics to translate complex genomic data into actionable insights. Drive projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with the Office of Data Sciences and White Lab strategic goals
Requirements: A Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or a related field, complemented by at least two years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a Master’s degree and significant relevant experience (10+ years) will also be considered; Demonstrated expertise in NGS data analysis, strong command over UNIX/LINUX environments, and proficiency in scripting languages like Python. Familiarity with core bioinformatics tools, databases, and the R programming language is essential
