Position: Computational Biology Scientist (Immunology)
Institution: Genentech, Inc.
Location: South San Francisco, California, United States
Duties: As an integral part of the team, you will focus on fibrotic diseases and work closely with computational biologists in Genentech Computational Sciences and experimental scientists in Immunology Discovery. The goal is to design and analyze multi-omic experiments from pre-clinical models and patient samples in ways that maximize insights into fibrotic disease biology/development. These insights will directly inform novel therapeutic target/biomarker discovery and address key questions related to forward and reverse translation
Requirements: You have a Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or similar, with a strong publication record. Alternatively, you have a Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, etc. combined with a record of high-throughput data analysis, supported by publication in this area; You have a solid understanding of the relevant concepts in immunology and enthusiasm for learning more; You have broad experience with data generated by one or more high-throughput molecular assays: Next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, etc; You have strong experience in the use of a high-level programming language such as Python or R for complex data analysis​
