Provide effective technical leadership and guidance, continually reviewing and evaluating current knowledge and emerging issues in biostatistics, and in the epidemiology and genetics of common, complex diseases; Prepare solicitations of grant applications and contract proposals, establish clear objectives and evaluation criteria, conduct complex technical negotiations and make recommendations regarding funding decisions; Analyze, interpret, and evaluate data from a medical and scientific viewpoint in an accurate and timely manner, identifying public health implications and making appropriate recommendations

The successful candidate must have completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree or graduate/higher level degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position
