Position: Group and Health Valuation Actuary

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States
Duties: Conduct actuarial valuations, including the development and maintenance of actuarial models, to determine reserves and financial liabilities associated with group and health insurance products; Analyze and interpret data to assess the profitability, risks, and performance of group and health insurance portfolios; Stay updated with industry trends, emerging practices, and regulatory changes impacting group and health insurance, and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders; Participate in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations related to the valuation of group and health products; Engage in actuarial research and analysis to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of group and health insurance valuations
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; Demonstrated progress in passing SOA sponsored actuarial examinations on the pathway to becoming a credentialed actuary (ASA or FSA); Familiarity with actuarial principles, practices, and methodologies related to group life, group AD&D, individual disability income, Medicare Supplement, critical illness, and/or other health insurance products
