Position: Actuarial Analyst

Duties: Compiles, develops, analyzes, and maintains data for forecasting, rate development, fee development and analysis, insurance bureau filing and budgeting; Provides actuarial support to new product development. Assists underwriting with rating of non-standard benefits design; Provides information to internal and external customers regarding claims liabilities and receivables, number of subscribers, group experience, and fee analysis. Executes and monitors periodic special reports and analyses to internal and external customers; Assists sales and group administration in responding to major bids and proposals; Provides actuarial and underwriting assistance to others, including total business rating analysis, development of manual rating formula, and requested rating factor calculations
Requirements: Position requires a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics or statistics, successful completion of one actuarial exam; Two years of actuarial or underwriting experience, which includes experience analysis and reporting; Programming exposure/experience and the desire to attain ASA credential required. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience
