Position: Research Associate in Optical Communication

Location: Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Duties: Research on Optical communication for: Free space optics; Visible light communication; Underwater optical communication; Optical camera communication; Propagation, scintillation, and performance of beam types through turbulent medium; Optical beam generation; Internet-of-Things; Vehicular communications; Light propagation in biological tissue; Opening his own research line in synergy with the current research projects
Requirements: The candidate should possess a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or affine. With a proven record of accomplishment in the area of Optical communication. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and experience in a number of the following topics: A solid mathematical background; Optical beam shaping; Optical beam propagation in turbulent medium(Atmosphere, underwater, marine, tissue, jet engine, etc); Scintillation and bit error rate analysis of beams; Channel modeling using the random phase screen approach; Software Development using C++, Python, MATLAB
