Ensure technology onboarding complies with data protection provisions and policies for personal and restricted data; Perform reviews and monitoring throughout the engagement lifecycle, including Privacy Impact Assessments and Inter-Firm Data Transfer Agreements; Collaborate with the National Security Officer and DPO to meet KPMG Global Quality & Risk Management, Technology & Information Protection requirements in Data Privacy & Protection; Provide advice to engagement teams and Digital Business Technology Team on data privacy requirements for technology-enabled offerings; Design data privacy guidance aligned with regulatory developments and Firm Technology Strategy; Contribute to the AI Risk Framework in line with the KPMG Global Trusted AI roadmap; Inform and advise controllers, processors, and employees on their data processing obligations; Evaluate risks associated with processing operations, considering nature, scope, context, and purposes; Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including DPO and Legal Counsels; Work with the KPMG Alliance Team to assess data processing aspects in technology-related partnerships; Collaborate within the KPMG Global Network to exchange best practices
Requirements:
Must or strongly preferred: Solid interest in technology, innovation, and digital transformation; Continuous learning mindset in digital risk and data protection regulations; Proactive approach to process improvements and optimizing technology-enabled offerings; Flexible, open-minded, with strong analytical and objective skills; Client-oriented with accurate working methods, navigating independently in a dynamic environment; Fast learner, critical thinker, and diplomatic; Higher education degree and additional certification in data privacy, law, technology law, cybersecurity, or data management; In-depth knowledge/practice with Data Privacy and Protection regulations, or a similar background with a strong interest in developing DP skills; Fluent in English and German; Nice to have or a plus: Experience in technology contracting, contract negotiations, and SaaS agreements; Background in legal, IT/Technical, compliance, or risk management; Interest/experience in the regulatory environment for Machine Learning/LLM/AI solutions
