Position: Research & Development specialist for 5G NTN Physical Layer Design

Duties: Study the 3GPP New Radio precoding specification for NTN; Perform simulation of precoding and frequency management in SATCOMs systems; Implementation and testing of predefined algorithms on SDR environments; Contribute to the National FNR Bridge project “Pre5GNR: Design and Implement Multiuser 3GPP 5G New Radio Precoding and Dynamic Beam Management for NGSO Systems”; Assisting in organization of relevant workshops and demos
Requirements: The candidate should possess a Master or Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Bachelor holder candidates with exceptional experience can also be considered; The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and experience in some of the following topics: Good knowledge on 3GPP New Radio PHY specifications; Test-bed design and implementation on Software Defined Radio, OpenAirInterface platforms; Wireless and/or Satellite communications; Programming skills in at least one of the following: MATLAB, GNURadio/C/C++
