The Department of Pharmacology maintains a strong research profile across a wide range of health-related fields, including cardiovascular sciences. Dalhousie University provides exceptional opportunities for cardiovascular research. This is a collaborative group of more than 20 Dalhousie-affiliated clinical and basic science researchers with interests in translational research in cardiovascular biology and disease at our two medical campuses and affiliated hospitals located in Halifax, NS and Saint John, NB (DalMedNB). This position will be based at the Halifax campus. The successful candidate will contribute to the goals of international leadership in medical research and education, and be responsive to health needs across Atlantic Canada. The successful applicant will have a PhD, or equivalent, and postdoctoral experience (at least two years preferred). Candidates must have a record of high-quality research related to the pathogenesis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, commensurate to their career stage; and must demonstrate potential for effective teaching and administrative service.
