The Robotics Team works within the Corporate Research & Technology Department, where it fosters the development of new robotic concepts and demonstrators for the organization. The team combines diverse skills in key technologies (state estimation, control, perception, manipulation, path planning & obstacle avoidance, robotics simulation, etc.) and works together to automate applications and workflows in construction via robotics. As part of this role, your tasks can include: proposing and managing R&D projects; defining technology platforms and architectural choices; hands-on software development and prototyping; establishing and nurturing a network of external collaborations with Academia and Industry; identifying opportunities for IP development and filing patent applications on new concepts… All the while being the face of change to a wide internal audience of stakeholders within the organization
Requirements:
PhD in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; 5+ years of relevant experience in Industry/Academia, with demonstrated growth in robotics product development and/or research; Technical expertise in multiple of these areas: State Estimation, Control, Path Planning, Obstacle Avoidance, Manipulation, Navigation, Robotics Simulation; Knowledge of ROS, Python, C/C++ required; Strong project management skills; familiarity with modern project management frameworks and tools; Good business acumen and strategic mindset
