The University, the College, and the Department have a longstanding culture of equally valuing research and teaching for all tenure stream faculty. Therefore, successful candidates must have a strong commitment to both teaching and research, with the ability to establish and maintain an active research program. Research programs that include some possibility to involve undergraduates are especially attractive. Teaching responsibilities will include traditional lower division coursework as well as upper division coursework suitable for the candidate’s area of expertise.
