A Research Associate in Bioinformatics position is available in the Underhill Lab at the University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Institute. The research laboratory is NIH funded to discover and characterize rare mutational events in humans. Specifically, the lab seeks to develop novel bioinformatic methods to study somatic mosaicism in human tissues and to develop liquid biopsy diagnostic markers for the non-invasive detection of human cancers
Requirements:
A PhD degree in Computer Science, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or other related scientific discipline or equivalency required. The candidate must be proficient in data handling and have expertise in C/C++, Python, and/or Java for algorithm development
