Position: Computer scientist for SNSF research project

Duties: As a computer scientist, you are part of a team carrying out an SNSF/Innosuisse Bridge Discovery research project (duration: three years; title: Quality indicators of polydisciplinary medical expert reports from the perspective of social security studies/law and empirical legal studies; project start: fall 2023). The project explores the quality of medical reports based on court data. The interdisciplinary project team comprises researchers from the ZHAW and the Center for Legal Data Science (CLDS) at the UZH. Your responsibilities include: programming of an interface for the collection of court data; web scraping and data extraction; collaboration with a coding team; data cleaning and contribution to the data analysis; participation in the dissemination process and the open access publication of the data
Requirements: MSc in computer science ideally with a minor in data science/statistics or MSc in data science, applied mathematics, economics with a minor in computer science; very good knowledge of Python; very good knowledge of regular expressions; familiarity with Github/Gitlab and ideally HTML, CSS and JavaScript; ability to work independently; ideally, good knowledge of statistics and/or NLP; ideally, good knowledge of German
