We are seeking to recruit a productive postdoctoral associate with a demonstrated potential to develop an independent research career. Candidates with skills in molecular biology and bioinformatics in particular are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will conduct independent studies in both cardiovascular and cerebrovascular sciences, utilizing cutting edge technologies to address significant clinical problems, including sickle cell disease, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease. As such these projects are highly competitive for the postdoc to faculty transitional funding mechanisms at various agencies such as the NIH, NSF, and the AHA. The lab is very well funded and has been recognized for significant contributions to the field of sickle cell disease and aging.
