Toggle navigation Lecturer in Software Engineering Opportunity ID 1469 Opportunity Closing Date 25/06/2023, 23:55 Primary Location Salford - Peel Park Campus School or Business Unit School of Science, Engineering & Environment Contract Type Full Time Permanent Salary £44,414 - £52,841 Opportunity Lecturer in Software Engineering We are looking for a Lecturer in Software Engineering to join our Computer Science and Software Engineering subject group as we deliver exceptional research, innovation and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching Software Engineering underpins digital transformation and the information economy, and we’re looking for a Lecturer to join us with applied, industry-relevant, research interests in areas such as DevOps, CI/CD, Agile and Lean development models, automated testing, UX, Visualisation, mobile, cloud and fog development, and machine language translation. Role Responsibilities As a Lecturer in Software Engineering, you’ll deliver high-quality, engaging and relevant learning across a range of modules, programmes and courses, using strategies and insight to maximise student experience and attainment. You’ll bring your expertise to the design and development of new programmes, and review material to ensure we’re delivering current and future-facing learning with industry relevant skills. You’ll undertake research, both individually and collaboratively, and you’ll be well-positioned for that here at Salford, with so many dedicated academics across the university, and cross-collaborative projects a key part of our strong research focus. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related subject and have experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We are also interested in hearing from candidates from industry who demonstrate relevant thought leadership, experience and ability.
