Duties: Coordination of change management activities with actuaries across the globe and across Business Units related to future features releases; Be responsible for the distribution algorithm by maintaining its logic and investigate future improvement; Providing guidance to IT on actuarial specification. This includes supporting the deployment of the application by performing various testing activities; Plan and provide relevant training activities to the user community on specific features or new releases; Support specific research & development activities around reserving (i.e. portfolio segmentation)
Requirements: You have at least 5 years experience in P&C reinsurance or insurance as an actuary or a risk modeler; You are a qualified or part-qualified actuary member of an actuarial body affiliated to the International Actuarial Association; You have strong modelling experience and experienced with various computer programming languages such as R, Python, C++, Matlab, VBA; You are analytical, of a curious nature with the ability to break down complexity into simple concept

Are you technically strong with a reserving and modelling background combined with good interpersonal skills? We have an exciting opportunity for you within our P&C actuarial team in Risk Management! In this role you are part of the team responsible for developing and maintaining the new P&C reserving platform developed in-house. By making use of brand-new technologies you will provide technical guidance to a team of IT developers on how to implement the relevant reserving techniques or features adapted to Swiss Re's book of business. You might also spend time in research and development around various practical reserving topics. Support specific research & development activities around reserving (i.e. portfolio segmentation) You will need to stay ahead of relevant internal system, data and theoretical developments of P&C reserving techniques in order to continuously improve the various processes, enhance the reserving analytics and improve overall the reserving platform About the Team Our small team supports the Reserving community globally across the various business units (Reinsurance, Corporate Solutions, iptiQ). You will report to the Head of P&C reserving System development and ensure successful implementation of new reserving method and application improvement. The team sits within Group Risk Management, reports to the Group Chief Actuary and works closely between Actuaries, data scientists and IT. About You You have at least 5 years experience in P&C reinsurance or insurance as an actuary or a risk modeler. You are a qualified or part-qualified actuary member of an actuarial body affiliated to the International Actuarial Association You have strong modelling experience and experienced with various computer programming languages such as R, Python, C++, Matlab, VBA You are analytical, of a curious nature with the ability to break down complexity into simple concept. You love learning and are able to use your experience and knowledge to find creative solutions where none currently exist. You are adaptable and open to change. Depending on experience we might also consider candidates that are close to be qualified.
