Position: Bioinformatics Research Analyst - Genetics
Institution: Washington University in St. Louis
Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States
Duties: Implement Algorithms and computer software for analyzing omics-based data sets (high-throughput, massively parallel genomic/proteomic/clinical); data management and analysis solutions that aid in the storage, investigation, and dissemination of large data sets; Coordinates research project with other investigators and institutions; Participates in developing hypotheses and experimental design; Assists with reporting of methods, data, and results
Requirements: Master’s degree in statistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field; Experience working in unix/linux environments, including basic shell scripting; Familiarity with big data processing pipelines; Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, or Python and expertise working with the statistical software R are strongly preferred; Training in statistics or machine learning a plus
