Faculty members, researchers, and PhD students at Swiss TPH rely on scientific exchange regarding high quality data analysis and research computing to pursue their impact-driven and population-oriented research. Swiss TPH hosts a biorespository and has access to large population-based health, environmental and biomarkers datasets. It collaborates actively in national and international epidemiology, public health and personalized health networks. The research activities cover relevant dimensions of infections and non-communicable diseases in humans and animals and include observational studies, intervention trials, and implementation research. To strengthen public health and epidemiology expertise on a national and international scale, Swiss TPH offers graduate and post-graduate courses and programs in epidemiology, public health, and quantitative data analysis for students with natural science, life science, medical and social science as well as economic backgrounds. Key aspects of the job are to collaborate with a team of local, national and international scientists on study design, data analysis strategies, and related software and research IT aspects. Hands-on data analysis is expected in all domains and particularly also in relation to high-throughput omics data. You will create innovative data visualizations. You will actively participate in scientific manuscript writing. You will be expected to provide teaching, training, and mentoring in quantitative methods to graduate and post-graduate students with medical, life-science or social science backgrounds.
