Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Radiation Oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Appointee position is to conduct independent laboratory research under the direction of the principal investigator. The research interest of the Hu lab is to study the development and progression of cancer, including cancer metastasis, cancer metabolic reprogramming and tumor microenvironment. Specific research directions in the lab include: 1) the regulation and function of tumor suppressor p53 and its gain-of-function mutants in cancer; 2) the role of tumor suppressors, including p53 and its target genes, in tumor microenvironment and tumor immunology. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Works under the direction of the principal investigator. Carries out various experimental and bioinformatics studies in the area of 1) the regulation and function of tumor suppressor p53 and its gain-of-function mutants in cancer; 2) the role of tumor suppressors, including p53 and its target genes, in tumor microenvironment, metabolic reprogramming and tumor immunology. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and ability to publish scientific research papers/articles.
