Position: Senior Associate Actuary, Underwriting Pricing Tools

Duties: As a Senior Associate Actuary, Underwriting Pricing Tools, you will lead a dynamic team in the development of tools that the underwriting team and the sales organization will use for pricing group insurance products: LTD, STD, Life, etc. In this role you will own the success of implementing the underwriting pricing tools
Requirements: 4-7+ years of actuarial experience; FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of experience; Exceptional technical skills in PL/SQL & VBA with the desire to take these skills to the next level; Experience working with version control systems (Git, etc.) preferred but not required; Experience with group insurance pricing/valuation/analytics preferred

Requisition #: 71298 The Role at a Glance As a Senior Associate Actuary, Underwriting Pricing Tools, you will lead a dynamic team in the development of tools that the underwriting team and the sales organization will use for pricing group insurance products: LTD, STD, Life, etc. In this role you will own the success of implementing the underwriting pricing tools. What you'll be doing Architect, develop, and implement high quality, robust pricing tools for the underwriters and the salesorganization to price group insurance products. Develop, and mentor 1 to 3 actuarial students and/or pricing tool experts. Collaborate, organize, and lead key discussions with various levels of management across Underwriting,Sales, Pricing, and IT to develop and maintain the pricing tools. Create, educate, and follow pricing tool standards and programming best practices. Ensure documentation of the tool design, coding, implementation, and training is kept up to date andavailable to onboard additional resources as needed. Design data structures, design database functions and procedures, design tool developmentmethodologies with separation of concerns, and coordinate the testing and the implementation of thepricing tools. Design, code, and implement actuarial pricing formulas and strategies in the pricing tools. Provide expertise on actuarial pricing methods and assumption development to suggest new ways ofmanaging development and implementation risk. Maintain awareness of developments in the actuarial and technology industries. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
