Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow (Research Scientist) for the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics within the School of Health Professions. Under the direction of Antonina Mitrofanova, the Postdoctoral Fellow will be highly motivated with training and interest in computational biology and/or biomedical informatics to solve cutting-edge problems in predictive modeling of treatment response in cancer patients. Special emphasis will be given to treatment response in prostate cancer and acute myeloid leukemia, among other caner types. Knowledge of R programming language, experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, Next Generation Sequencing data download and processing (including single-cell data) are recommended. Experience with algorithms development and their implementation is a plus. At the completion of this appointment, individuals will be highly trained in a broad spectrum of scalable statistical and machine learning approaches, integrative transcriptomic, genomic, and epigenomic analyses, oral and written communication skills, and manuscript and grant writing.
