Duties: We focus on investigating the regulatory role of “dark” genome elements in shaping nuclear functions during early development and evolution. We use human, mouse and C-elegans embryos and stem cell-based embryo models. To address our questions, we employ novel, single cell genome-wide transcriptomic technologies including Smart-seq, scATACseq, and SPRITE technologies that allow us to simultaneously measure the transcriptome along with open-chromatin regions and their 3D nuclear organization. We combine these methods with systematic functional approaches including CRISPR technologies, microscopy, and various biochemical assays to understand embryonic development and its evolution
Requirements: B.S, M.S or a Ph.D (or be close to completion) in computational biology, genomics, data analysis or any other specialization that requires analysis of NGS data; Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python and R; Experience in analyses of sequencing data (e.g. ChIP-seq, ATACseq, HiC, SPRITE) and transcriptomic data (e.g. RNA-seq) is essential
