Duties: The PhD studies, part of an ERC-funded program, revolve around the particle physics of the Dark Matter problem and are particularly focused on the phenomenology and detectability of light dark matter candidates in rare underground event searches. The student is also expected to take part in the University of Vienna Particle Physics Group regular curriculum of events such as seminars and colloquia
Requirements: Master (or equivalent) degree with a strong theoretical particle physics background; Knowledge of the Standard Model and quantum field theory are required; Previous experience with Mathematica, Python or other programming languages are an asset but not a must

In this context , HEPHY is offering a P H D S TUDENT P OS ITION ( F / M / X ) i n the Theory Group ( part - time, 30 h per week) The successful candidate is expected to start in May 01 st , 2023.
