Lead a team of bioinformatics scientists in innovative software and algorithm development for oncology NGS applications; In collaboration with our experimental teams, design and analysis of experiments to support novel biomarkers using existing or new Illumina oncology assays; Provide technical and strategic guidance to the team; Deeply collaborate with SMEs cross-functionally within Illumina; Lead cross functional assay and algorithm R&D teams with minimal oversight; Works closely with scientific, assay, engineering, software and commercial teams to develop, and validate new products; Manage oncology algorithm roadmap for industry leading analysis platform
Requirements:
PhD in bioinformatics, physics, or math or related field with 4+ years of regulated industry experience in clinical algorithm development (IVD, LDT, and/or CDx); Expert knowledge of existing bioinformatics NGS algorithms and methodology; Proven ability to develop innovative bioinformatics algorithms; Fluency in statistics, common bioinformatics methods, and NGS data analysis
